Chatsworth is an incorporated town in Livingston County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,265 at the 2000 census.
Chatsworth is located at 40°45′15″N 88°17′35″W / 40.75417°N 88.29306°W / 40.75417; -88.29306 (40.754256, -88.293023).
According to the 2010 census, Chatsworth has a total area of 2.71 square miles (7.02 km), all land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,265 people, 533 households, and 338 families residing in the town. The population density was 1,412.8 people per square mile (542.7/km²). There were 581 housing units at an average density of 648.9/sq mi (249.3/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 98.81% White, 0.32% African American, 0.16% Native American, 0.16% Asian, 0.08% from other races, and 0.47% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.66% of the population.
There were 533 households out of which 31.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.5% were married couples living together, 11.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 36.4% were non-families. 33.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 18.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.37 and the average family size was 2.99.
In the town, the population was spread out with 27.7% under the age of 18, 6.7% from 18 to 24, 25.9% from 25 to 44, 22.2% from 45 to 64, and 17.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females, there were 93.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 87.9 males.
